Birth:C Section

Welcome to my C-section Photo Gallery

My son, Phelan was born by cesarean section after 36 hours of labor. He had his head in an odd position (called asynclitic), and we could not get him to turn so that he could be born the right way, so we had surgery. My husband took a roll of film in the operating room - it is not too graphic, and I hope that this gallery can help others who are interested in the procedure, or trying to heal from their own c-section birth.

Nurtured Births Birth and Postpartum Doulas-San Diego
I have a “hands-on” approach to being a doula. I use massage, counter pressure, and position changes to help relieve pain during labor and delivery. At the postpartum period, I help your new family settle in by preparing meals for you, offering breast/bottle feeding support, helping care for older siblings, and running errands for you. My goal is to offer you support and make resources available to you so that you can achieve the birth you expect. Doulas are different! As a doula, I do not provide medical care of any kind to you, your baby, or your family. Instead, I am in essence a “mother to the mom“-focusing on the you and attending to your needs the entire time you are laboring.
