Rohini, My darling little baby,
Mama is writing this letter
to you when you are a tiny little tadpole of 2 months and 18
days.
I have so many names for you. you are my kooklie, my boobly,
my sunshine, my booblebum, my doll, my babe, my booble, my
tutti-fruity. Who else but you and me can understand that each one of
these names is a song of love?
Your papa calls you guchi-paneer,
princess, sweetheart and baby doll.
We just can't find one word that
can express what you are to us.
I love you so much darling. I
love to hold you and kiss you and cuddle you. I love to feel your
tiny head nestled under my chin and your warm sweet body pressed
against me, your tiny fingers clutching my dress. You are so soft,
and small and vulnerable today, and one day you will be a big,
strong, confidant young woman, with a baby of your own nestled in your
arms!
Rohini, Life is laughter and pain, it is hope and despair, it is
truth and it is lies, and beautiful and ugly all at the same time.
And through it all, I want you to chose your own path, be what
you want to be, do what you want to do. Because whatever you
are, you'll still be mine, and I will love you always.
It is my
promise to you this day, that I shall always show you respect
understanding and love. I'll always be there to cheer you on, whatever
road you may chose to walk on. I give you the promise of
unconditional love.
May life be kind to you, and the sun smile on you.
May you always find love and care, and may you give it in double
measure.
Your mom.
