Little one,
stepping with pride
giggles and joy spilling over onto me your
mother.
Your love fills me up inside
as I watch you grow, learn to go
farther.
I promise not to hold you back
a hard vow for a mother to make
to her child
but I pray I've put you on he right track
as you
walk away from me exploring your new world.
Hard to believe it's
been one year
since that little infant snuggled at my breast
my
baby is a toddler now ...it brings a tear.
Of sadness, happiness,
and moments I want to frame.
You won't remember what I do
I'll
never forget this year we got to know each other
The memories of
my baby, of you.
I'll place them gently on the top shelf of my
mind.
I'll bring them down from time to time,
birthdays to come, or
just when I'm feeling blue.
For now I'll share them in ryhme
and
save them for you and also for me.
