A Cowboys Conversation
There’s somethin’ ‘bout this time
o’ year
That sets my mind to flowin’,
Thinkin’ ‘bout
this life o’ mine
And the direction that I’m goin’.
Now I
don’t claim to be no wise man
Just a simple man with simple
ways,
But I know Lord, You’ve been good to me
I count my blessin’s
every day,
You’ve given me the treasures
Of a wife so
strong and true,
And a son that’s truly heaven sent
I give
all the thanks to You.
You see there’s often times I
wonder
Do I deserve all that I’ve been given?
How does a simple
man like me
Receive this life that I’m now livin’?
I do
my best to do the things
I know You want me to,
But
still I can’t help wonderin’
Do I deserve all this from
You?
You’ve shared Your creation with me
The birds the skies the sun
above,
This horse that I call friend
And the greatest gift....Your
love.
Yet all folks seem to talk about
Is this man they call Saint
Nick,
But I know that Christ’s the reason
That we have this life
to live.
Well once again I’m ramblin’ on
Takin’ up
Your precious time,
Lookin’ for the answers
I know I may
never find.
But just once more in closin’
I’d like to
thank You for the gift,
Of all the things I take for
granted
And this life that I have lived!
