To My Son Adam
The room is very quiet
As I sit and think of you
I lay you down for your midday nap
and I start to miss your coo
I close my eyes and see your face
That cute little button nose
That soft white gentle satin skin
All the way down to your toes
The long silent hours have passed me by
As I wait to hear my little boy's voice
To ask me for a drink and snack
What kind is not always your choice
As I look at you with tears of joy
You're the sun that warms my soul
I couldn't imagine life without you ADAM,
you are what makes me whole.
