Know it all
I know it all - I know I do!
What could I possibly learn from you?
I have the wisdom of all of my years.
Nothing to hide, nothing to fear!
This is me as your teen-age child;
I know it all and I am somewhat wild!
Two or so years have now passed on,
and just look at how much I have grown.
Out of school and working now;
Growing up, but I don't know how.
Trying my best to make you proud!
To stand out in the crowd.
Another few years and I am twenty-four;
So much more of life to explore.
A great new job, house, and child.
No longer am I somewhat wild!
But settled down and content with life;
As a loving mother and devoted wife.
I know it all - I know I do!
And I learned it all by watching you.
I have the wisdom of all of your years.
You supported me and loved away fears.
This is me all grown up and new.
All of this is THANKS TO YOU!!
