A Child's Love
She loves me for who I am, not for who she wants me to be.
She doesn't judge the outward appearance, but just loves the
real me.
If my day just flies right by, and the dishes don't get done
All that really matters to her, is that the day was fun.
She never seems to really care if dinner is running late.
And even if it's mac-n-cheese, to her, it was worth the wait.
She never seems to mind at all if the vacuuming doesn't get done,
And if there's cookies on the floor, putting them there was half
the fun.
She loves me when I have a headache, or when I'm in a bad mood,
She looks beyond all my faults and forgets the times I'm rude.
All she wants is my time and love, I feel that's the least I can
give
Always showing her the love in my heart, forever, or as long as
I live.
Take time today to love your child, see yourself as they do
Look past the faults and the failures, and love them, truly, as
they love you.
