Father
We had our good times
And our bad.
But I am not complaining
Atleast those were had.
You were the best father
That you could be.
To think that you are really gone
Is very hard for me.
I think of you
Day and night.
You will always and forever
Be within my sight.
I will never forget
The little things you did
The way you laughed or cried
Or the tender way you held the grandkids.
I will never let go
Of your funny smile.
For you, my Father
I would walk many a mile.
It is a sad time in our lives
When we lose a loved one.
But God needs you now
For the good that needs to be done.
He has given you a second chance
To open up and see the light.
Father, make us proud of you
Give God a chance, and do what is right.
