Did You Forget About Me?
It was a small little child, I had never seen.
His hands so fragile held out to me.
Eyes bright but sorrowful pierced my heart.
This tiny voice whispered and filled the room.
"Did you forget about me?"
A profound remark from such a little boy,
to remind me of my mortal goal.
I reached as he faded from my sight.
The message all too clear -
my son awaits his chance on earth.
A reminder from above.
