Twice Blessed
You're still growing inside me,
Warm and cozy, snuggled inside,
I cannot see your little face,
But I'm waiting patiently on the outside.

I hear your heartbeat every month,
Feel you wiggle and squirm at night,
I can hardly stand this seperation of sorts,
Just wanting to hold and squeeze you tight.

To feel your warmth on my skin,
To feel your soft breathe on my cheek,
To put you down for your night slumber,
Sneaking in now and then for a peek.

Together as we are now,
I feel as though I am twice blessed.
Not only did God make you my child,
He gave me a life long friend.
