On The Inside

ON THE INSIDE YOU’RE HAVING FUN
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU WANT TO RUN

ON THE INSIDE YOU WANT TO PLAY
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU STAY AWAY

ON THE INSIDE YOU SEE SO CLEAR
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU HAVE A FEAR

ON THE INSIDE I AM YOUR FRIEND
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU FOLLOW THE TREND

ON THE INSIDE YOU WANT TO SHARE
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU WON’T BE THERE

ON THE INSIDE YOU DIDN’T NEED A NUDGE
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU HOLD A GRUDGE

ON THE INSIDE WE CREATED THIS BABY
ON THE OUTSIDE YOU PRETEND IT’S MAYBE

ON THE INSIDE WE MADE A SON
ON THE OUTSIDE NOW YOU’RE DONE

ON THE INSIDE I LOVED YOU TOO
ON THE OUTSIDE I DON’T KNOW YOU

HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHERE WE WENT WRONG

My Child

My little one how are you
I ask even though you cannot yet speak
Even though we are in hard times
I know you will be strong

You’ll have your father’s looks I hope
And maybe I pray, my eyes
But the strength you’ll get from both of us
Because we’ve both had hard lives

We may be young by man’s standards
And some say immature at best
And we will ace this
One of life’s many tests

Only God can make a child

When I first met you honey, and I saw your handsome face
I prayed that God would bless us and show us his grace.

His hand has been upon us with all that we’ve been through
and even in the up’s and down’s Im glad it was with you.

Here we are years later and in you I do depend
with all the things you do for me I see you are my friend

So in this very special time I feel our hearts are one
The child that grows inside of me a daughter or a son?

Who could make a child but God?And we are truly blessed

Because with all the gifts He has
He always gives the best

TO MY UNBORN CHILD

I do not know you, I have not met you, but what I know is that I love and cherish everything about you. You are my life, something that I have had a hand in creating and the unconditional love I feel for you is second to none.

I yearn to hold you, touch you, smell you and feel your tiny body against my bare skin. I feel humble in the fact that I was blessed with you, a gift to me that is irreplaceable.

I have dedicated my life to you and all that I can give you. If you need me, I promise you my darling I am always near you. If you need guidance and support through life, I promise you all I have, I will share with you. I promise you, I will not criticize you in any shape or form and that your future choices and decisions will not be clouded by my own beliefs.

I promise to listen and hear your dreams and expectations in life. I want you to put your full trust in me and in return I will trust and respect you as a complete individual. If I seem to bark and bite, I am only human too and usually I will have your best interest at heart.

You are only lent to us and with that our lives together will be filled with joy, lessons, love and adventure.

Welcome my darling into this world that awaits you,
Love from Mum xxxx

The Baby 2

As I close my eyes
I can see, you are still
worried and in misery
thinking out loud,
what is going to happen now.
What am I going to do?
honey can I count on you.
Will you be with me,
standing on my side,
as you promised,
you where going to stay with me
for the rest of my life.
Will your love stay
or will it fade away.
Will you still love me
When I have the child.
Will you be there and help me
raise our baby right.

Honey, all I can say,
Everything is going to be fine,
As long as we’re together,
everything will be alright.
Just don’t forget even I think out loud.
Everything is going to change,
and my live too will be upside down.
I know somewhere deep inside
everything will come together,
everything is going to be alright.
All that I hope is that one
day soon in my life,
I’ll be your husband and you’ll be my wife.
And that your love for me
will stay strong and will survive.

The Baby

I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes,
I just got news of a big suprise.
I wish you were here ,
for me to hold you tight,
To kiss you to hold you,
And give you advice.

I am at awe just like you,
I’m wondering what should I do,
How can I help you, in what way,
All I can promise is,
I’ll be with you every step of the way.

I wonder and wander about,
What must you be thinking right now.
All alone in your world,
Thinking and thinking,
And pondering about ,
How could this happen,
How and why Now.

Thank You

This poem is a Thank you poem for people who attended
my work shower and answers to their questions about
my pregnancy.

Thank You

Thank you so much
For coming to greet me
And asking me questions
So tender and sweetly

I’ll answer the ones
That I’ve heard before
For some, that may be
Quite a bore

The first one is one
You might enjoy
Is this baby
A girl or a boy

So many theories
Do people devise
But we want the gender
To be a surprise

And some people ask
How much weight did you gain
To which I reply
“Are you insane?”

To ask such a question
And expect a reply
Is surely to get you
A poke in the eye

The next one’s about
How I’m feeling
When I say great
It send other mothers reeling

They felt nauseous
And tired and sick
Do I know
Of some little trick

No, I don’t
I’ve just been lucky
But there’s still time
For me to feel sucky

The final question’s
About my absense
When do you leave
And does coming back make sense

I’m not leaving too soon
So save your goodbyes
For the middle of September
If my boss complies

I’ll be back next year
In the second month
After we’ve met
Our little triumph

So thanks once again
For wishing us well
The presents are great
And the party was swell

To My Baby

I’m so happy to have you in my womb,
your little life inside of me I feel you grow
I want you to be healthy and strong

God will take care and watch over you
When it’s time you will come out
and see the world and see me

I promise to take care of you the best
that I can together we will grow
We will learn new things
I promise to be a good mother

I’ll try not to nag when you’ve dong wrong
I want you to be happy, smiles
and lots of laughter

I want to hold you, love you
watch you grow just don’t
growto fast I LOVE YOU

Little Miracles

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
I cannot feel you yet
But I know that you are here
Your heart has formed
And is beating strong
I am feeling no fear

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
I am happy and excited
I feel the whole world knows
That your body is changing
You have arms and legs
Tiny fingers and tiny toes

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
Your skin is turning pink
your body is growing hair
With eyelashes and eyebrows
Your soft baby skin
Is no longer pale or bare

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
You have wrinkled skin
And your eyes are opened wide
I’m getting very impatient,
nervous, excited and scared
My emotions I can not hide

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
Are you going to come early
Are you going to come late
I am ready to hold you,
comfort you, take care of you
But for now I can only wait

Beginnings

A baby to hold and to love,
a creature so tiny, so fresh and so new.
There’s nothing more important or special
that two loving people could ever do.

Who will the baby look like
will it be a he or a she.
Part of him, part of her,
a creation that is meant to be.

All we could ever want for our baby
is very simple and very plain
It’s to be happy and content in life
and know our love will never wane.
