Hello again,
Not a whole lot has happened on the baby front over the past few days,
just waiting and waiting for this cycle to end and the next to begin. I've
been pretty busy with school. Wednesdays are really long. I have my
internship from 8:30-5 and then class from 6-9 (the most boring policy class
on earth I must add). I don't know how I will feel (physically) when I get
pregnant and have to endure Wednesdays. Luckily next semester (when I
(hopefully) will be further along) I will have one less class so I will have
3 fairly long days and 4 days off. That will be better. It's not too bad
now, Mondays I'm in Albany (long days), Tuesdays I have off, Wednesdays I
already described, yuck, Thursdays I have class in the afternoon, Fridays I
have internship again 8:30 till 5 and then have the weekend off. It's not a
bad schedule but next semester I'll have Thursdays off and I'm not sure
which night I will have class, probably still Wednesdays. I'm also worried
about having morning sickness and being at my internship because my office
is a loooong way from the "public" restroom. The thought of having to lose
my lunch in that yucky bathroom is making me sick already. I'm also
slightly concerned that I'll be in the middle of a therapy session and have
to go puke, can you imagine your therapist saying, "uh hold that thought,
I'll be right back". Guess I'll deal with it should it happen. Maybe I'll
be one of those blessed people who don't get sick, or maybe I'll be
fortunate enough to only get sick in the comfort of my own home (yeah,
right). Guess I'll worry about it when the time comes.
I received a letter yesterday from the OB's office, just a form letter
welcoming me and telling me to come 5 minutes early to do paperwork and also
to bring my insurance information. This OB is going to be having a baby
(her first) in October, when I scheduled the appointment (in like March) I
asked about her being out on maternity leave and they said they have
scheduled her out for six weeks in October. That is good for me but not
very long for her to be with her baby and recover. I guess when you go to
school and train as long as she did you don't have the luxury of an extended
leave. Sooo, if I am successful in getting pregnant the beginning of
October I will either have to see one of her counterparts in the practice or
wait till she comes back. Between now and September 17th I'll be generating
my list of questions and topics to discuss with her. Time to go put on my
thinking cap...and go to class.
