I am currently on cycle #6, cd# 18, and ???dpo. I have no clue when I
o'd (assuming that I did) since I didn't have the true mittelschmertz this
cycle. I think it was probably on Friday, cd #16, who knows.
We did bd on
Monday and Thursday so maybe we hit it right. I'm getting frustrated with
my body now that it's not giving me such clear signals. I had my appt. with
the Naturopath on the 18th and was pretty pleased with it. She was very
nice and spent over an hour and a half with me. We went over my cycles, I
had taken my charts with me, and talked about nutrition and weight loss and
what stuff we'd tried so far, etc. I told her that I had been concerned
that I might not be building up much lining since I tend to have pretty
light periods and she thought that could be true. She said that she thought
that my prenatal vitamin (stuartnatal) was "o.k." but not as good as she'd
like to see it so she gave (well sold I guess) me an additional vitamin E
and B-complex.
I had purchased some natural progesterone cream and she
thought that would be a good thing to use for the last half of my cycle.
She mixed me up a "fertility formula" tincture which is this nasty tasting
liquid that you drink 3 times a day in some kind of juice. It tastes like I
imagine pond scum smells! She ordered me folliculinum which is supposed to
regulate the menstrual cycle after being on birth control pills. That and
the simplex F (I can't remember what that does for me) are not in yet but
should be next week.
She also gave me phosphotidyl choline and I'm also not
sure what that does. She suggested that I try douching with a baking soda
solution 1 hr. prior to intercourse in case my vagina is too acidic (or
alkaline? one or the other). She gave me suggestions of things that Larry
can take and said that the bovine prostate vitamins that I got him were a
good choice and that he should take them. I ran home to tell him that!
All
in all I am hopeful that it will help. We won't be trying in March or April
so if I'm not successful this cycle then I'll have 2 mos to really try to
get prepared.
I bought the tae bo exercise videos and hope to get in better
shape. It's quite a workout, that's for sure. I'm really busy with school.
I have to get ready to take my csw exam (for licensing as a certified social
worker) and that is stressing me out. So guess that's the update, maybe
I'll have good news to report in a couple of weeks.
