Only about a month to go until it will be time for us to try to
concieve. I've been visiting all of the pregnancy websites and trying to
pass the time until it is time to get this show on the road. I have been
obsessed with having a baby for years but over the past six months or so it
has become increasingly difficult to ignore the tick tock of my biological
clock and my extreme baby urges. While thirty days is not a long time to
wait it seems like an eternity. You remember how it was when you were a kid
waiting for Christmas morning? Those last few hours until you could open
your presents were an eternity. That is how I feel now. Hurry up and wait,
sigh. I am fortunate that school has started again and is keeping me busy
enough so that I can actually go a few hours now and then without thinking
about this impending conception and babies. I go to my internship on
Wednesdays and Fridays and those days fly by as I am busy and enjoying my
work. When I am in class (unless the professor or topic is incredibly
boring, which is about half the time, LOL) I can also keep the baby lust at
bay. Since I am such a planner I find myself crossing off days on the
calendar (literally!). Larry worked overnight last night, moonlighting to
make some extra money. It is nice that he can do that so that we can pay
off some of our debts before the baby arrives. He was lucky and it wasn't
busy so he got to sleep. We went to the cheapo movies today and saw Dr.
Doolittle, it was really cute and funny. Wierd thoughts pop into my head,
like, I was thinking that the $1.50 theater would be a good place to take
kids since taking them to the regular movies would break the bank at $4.50
per kid. Guess it will be a while before we have to worry about that. I
have a 4 day weekend over Labor Day, yay, and Larry is off except for clinic
call on Monday (which means he can be home unless a clinic patient needs
admitting to the hospital). We plan to go to the zoo tomorrow if the
weather is good, I may be able to convince Larry that we should go to the
mall as well. Wish me luck!
