Well, I don't really have any news. I did (several) pregnancy tests
and they were all negative. It's still pretty early to be testing (10dpo)
so I'm trying not to get discouraged yet. I expect my period sometime
between Tuesday and Thursday. If it doesn't show up by Thursday I'll be
pretty encouraged. I've wasted a bunch of tests and have decided that I'm
not going to do another one until Friday (oh my that's a long time away) if
my period stays away that long. It's very discouraging to see only the
control line on the pregnancy test even when I know it's too early to freak
out.
I have been waffling back and forth between thinking I am pregnant
and thinking I'm not. The more negative hpt's I take the more I think I'm
not. I have had a persistent lower backache since last Tuesday but I don't
think that's a sign of pregnancy (not until like the 8th month or so) but it
is annoying. I haven't really had any symptoms, no nausea (too early), my
breasts aren't sore (except the one that I smashed into the doorjamb the
other night as I stumbled to the bathroom in the dark, OUCH), I have been
tired and even fell asleep while dinner was cooking on Friday but I had just
gotten home from my internship and could have been tired from my long, busy
day. So who knows. I'm trying to prepare myself for getting my period this
week. I know it wouldn't be unusual to not get pregnant on the first try,
many people don't. I was just hoping that I would be one of the lucky ones,
especially since I hate to wait. Maybe this is a lesson in patience, gee I
hope not.
The rest of my life is ok, I have a big Social Welfare Policy Test
coming up on Wednesday, I really hate the class, it's boring and I've really
got to do some more studying before Wed. My internship has been busy, I
feel like I'm learning a lot and still enjoy it so that is good. It's time
to choose classes for next semester (already!). I will only have 3 classes
then instead of the 4 I have this semester, which will be better. I hope to
have my Albany classes on Tuesdays or every other Saturday. We'll see, I
don't know yet what my carpool wants to do so that will decide it. Larry
has been working A LOT this month. He was moonlighting from 7a.m.-10 p.m.
yesterday and today he's at regular work from 7 a.m.-11pm. He's been
working and sleeping and working and sleeping. He doesn't get a whole day
off until NOV 1st! Poor him. He does have most of the 31st off, Halloween
but I think there will be lots of sleeping going on that weekend. If we
aren't pregnant this time then our next ovulation should fall around Nov 2,
3 or 4th. Good thing this rotation will be over by then. His schedule will
still be busy next month but nowhere near as crazy as this month has been.
Well, that's the latest news. I should know one way or the other by
Thursday or Friday and I'll update you once I know something.
