Just wanted to do a quick update since I last wrote. I expect to
ovulate today since it is day 13 (and I always O on day 13) and I did an OPK
(Ovulation Predictor Kit) last night which was positive. Another
interesting thing that I've noticed this month is that when I have checked
my cervix for fertility (Soft, High, Wet, Open indicates fertility and Firm,
Low, Dry, Closed indicates infertility) for the first time in all these
months I could tell that it is soft, high, wet and I couldn't tell if it was
open but I assume that it is. So, yippee this is a good thing. Also I did
have a small amount of eggwhite, cervical mucus (which I never get).
We
have bd'd (baby danced/had sex) Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday of this week. We
planned to last night but Larry was on call and didn't get home until 12:30
a.m. and had to be up at 5a.m. to go back to the hospital so it didn't
happen :-( I'm hoping that doesn't hurt our chances. The good news is that
he'll get home early today, sometime in mid afternoon. The bad news is that
I have class from 1:15 - 4:15, so I'm hoping that I don't feel the
mittelshmertz (ovulatory pain) until after I get home. For the past few
months it has always arrived in the evening so I'm hoping that it continues
the same pattern. If it arrives during class I will probably leave early, I
entertained the thought of shouting out, "I'm ovulating right now! I have
to go home!" but decided that I should probably be more discreet than that.
LOL.
I figure if we bd tonight and tomorrow (which is probably too late but
who knows) then other than Wed. pm we took every available opportunity. I'm
thinking though that skipping last night could work to our advantage by
giving those spermies a chance to regroup. So after tomorrow we wait and
wait again to see if we were successful. In case you haven't figured it out
yet, I am very bad at waiting. My longest luteal phase has been 13 days so
if AF doesn't arrive by the 22nd then that's a really good sign. I am so
impatient I'll probably test on the 18th even though it's probably way too
early. I'll let ya'll know what happens.
