Rebecca's pregnancy journal - 35 weeks pregnant

35 Weeks

I look 37 weeks pregnant. The baby has dropped a bit more and grown enough to begin to make it hard for me to breathe again. I spent a few hours in the ER yesterday to check for a DVT or Deep vein thrombosis. In English that is a blood clot in your leg vein. I had had a cramp that wouldn't go away for over a week and was becoming short of breath. As it turned out there was no clot (YEA!!!!) and the shortness of breath was and is most likely a mixture of allergies and the big baby.

I am getting new stretch marks above my belly button and contractions are coming stronger, longer and more regularly. Hopefully this is a sign that I am going soon. I don't remember this happening with Olivia. The ultrasonographer asked if I was having twins! I went to the chiropractor also and hopefully this will put my pelvis in line so I can better deliver the baby.

My daughter is in her crib yelling and playing. She doesn't seem to want to go to bed yet. She is so cute! No has become not only her favorite but also a useful word for her. She uses it correctly and in conjunction with other word now. Boy am I in trouble. We ran through our list of baby names with her to see which ones she could say. She says most of them well but says Kiah, Jake, Kate and Sara the best. We shall see what we will use.

I have begun cleaning my house, organizing shelves and packing bags. Olivia's "I'm the big sister!" shirt is done and I am now working on knitting her a blanket. Nesting perhaps?...hmmm...
