Well, in my opinion this is really week 35 but we will humor the doctors for
now. I am back to doing most of what I used to so around the house. I simply
put my feet up a bit more and take a nap when I can. I am still having
contractions but nothing exciting. I can hear the baby's heart beat with my
husband's stethoscope. It's great to be able to do this whenever I like to.
Sleeping is painful these days. I can't get comfortable anymore and it seems
to strain my pelvic floor muscles. I feel like I have run a marathon when I
awaken in the morning. I have so much respect for anyone carrying more than
one little one. I don't know how they do it!
We have our ultrasound next week for our growth study. I have a page of
questions to ask to doctor then also. I am uneasy with the due date. I
certainly don't feel 33 weeks pregnant-I feel 35-36 weeks and am measuring
big. I know with second babies anything goes but it is intuition. I am
worried that the baby will become too big to deliver and I won't go into
labor. This means they might wait as long as March 28 to induce due to being
over due. If I really am due March 1 and they are thinking March 14 they
won't be looking for distress in the baby due to a deteriorating placenta
early enough. I have a few other concerns with the actual birth but I'm sure
we will go over all of this next week.
Olivia and I finally were able to go to the swim class and she loved it. I
loved it too. Buoyancy is a wonderful thing but getting out is a rude
awakening to your behemoth pregnant self. She and I are spending lots of time
together. I received a cookbook from my mother to make Olivia cookies and
toddler foods. I am hoping to get her to eat a bit more of the right things.
We all need to eat healthier in this family.
