Well, I have been given a long lecture about taking it easy. I went into the
OB's with lots of pressure and some contractions. I was put on the monitor
for a while and the contractions weren't anything large enough to register but
upon examination my cervix is a little softer than the Doc would like. No
house work, mall walking or carrying of my one-year-old…yea right. In her
words "We are avoiding gravity here." If I don't do these things they don't
get done! How do I explain to my daughter that mommy can't pick her up
because she might pop too early? Talk about getting a head start on building
sibling resentment!
So…I have been trying to sit on my bottom as much as possible and I am going
out of my MIND!!!!! I have been in the house for 8 days and can't stand it any
longer! My poor husband and I got into a rip roaring fight courtesy of
"progesterone poisoning" (to quote a favorite book of mine-A Girlfriend's
Guide to Pregnancy) I am almost 8 months pregnant and two to go-goodness I
feel huge. My belly button has almost popped and I am increasingly anxious on
dealing with two small little beings with their own agendas… My brain went on
vacation almost 2 years ago and it has given no notice as to when it might
want to resume its duties. When children think they are smarter than their
parents are they are probably right-but they have done it to us!!!!
Oh! I weight 190 lb-only a gain of about ˝ lb. Good. I am starting to feel
like I need my own time zone! How do mommies carrying more than one move? I
can barely get four feet with out some kind of mishap!
