Well, Olivia's first birthday has come and gone! What a crazy day!!! George
has been working against a deadline so he wasn't home to prepare. What a job
that was! We did a simple ziti and salad and of course a cake. So many
people came. She had many, many gifts-almost all wonderful cloths. This was
a very good thing as she is growing like a weed. She is walking a little bit
now, from person to person, but rarely ventures around. She loves to talk and
is becoming better at mimicking sounds. She is growing up so quickly!
We had her 1-year check-up and everything was fine. I must admit I hate shots
and hate putting her through them even more. She had her MMR (measles, mumps
and rubella) this time. W e met the one pediatrician we hadn't met yet and
love her. We will stick with her from now on.
I had an OB appointment this week and everything seems to be fine, I gained 8
lb, which is not fine, as far as I am concerned. So far it has only been 16
lb so that isn't sooo bad. The baby is moving quite a bit and my back is
still giving me a few problems but over all this pregnancy is so much better
than the last one. I look enormous but then again that has been a sort of
mantra throughout this whole experience.
Here comes Christmas!
