Rebecca's pregnancy journal - 25 weeks pregnant

25 Weeks

I can't believe that Olivia is going to be a year old next week!!! The time has gone by so quickly. I have done a lot of Christmas shopping the last couple of days and have decorated the house inside and out. I know I used all of the decorations but somehow the house doesn't look as decorated this year. I am walking fairly well these days as long as I take it slow and carefully.

The baby likes to kick my bladder. The problem is this: My bladder isn't what it used to be. Every time he (we think it's a boy) kicks I leak. It is a lovely game. All the kegals in the world don't help either. I suppose if I didn't do any I would be permanently soaked through. Count my blessings I suppose!

My blood test came back negative but they want to repeat it to make sure I don't develop fifth disease. Apparently I am not immune- 50-80% of the adult population is. I hate needles.

I am getting larger by the day. I have times when I wish I could just take off my belly and carry it around in my arms for a few minutes. I can't sleep well anymore but that was to be expected. All in all this has been great! I really like being pregnant. He kicks up a storm and I can now see my belly move when he does. Boy won't we be surprised when the Doc call out "It's a girl!" Mary Catherine is one of the names for a girl along with Sarah, Emma and Margaret Mary. Samuel is a consideration if a boy along with Kiah. The latter is from Hezakiah (I am not sure how to spell this and can't find it anywhere in my books) and has only skipped one generation in my mother's family since the 1400s! The generation it skipped was hers and that was because there were no boys born. We shall see...
