Kiley's Pregnancy Journal
- Pregnancy Week Twenty

21 Weeks Pregnant

I am so surprised at how active this baby is. She seems to go in spurts (notice I'm referring to the baby as "she" - I still have no clue what the sex is though - I just think she is better than "it") and then no activity again for a few hours. Will has been able to feel the baby move a lot now. One morning, I woke up to him saying, "I felt it! There it goes again! I felt it again!". He just put his hand on my stomach while I was sleeping and the baby started moving around for him. He was so excited. Now he wants to touch my belly all the time!

My mom will be coming out in June, hopefully for the birth. She lives 2000 miles away, so it's kind of hard to plan around the birth. It's not like I can call her when I go into labor and she can rush right over! But, we decided that she'd come out around June 29 - which is 3 days after my due date. She thinks the baby will be right on time, I think she will be a few days late. We'll see! I originally thought this was going to be a 4th of July baby, but now I'm hoping she won't wait that long to come into the world! My mom will stay with me for 2 weeks, which will be a huge help. If I haven't had the baby by the time she gets here, I'm going to try natural inducement to get things going.

It looks like we might move right around my due date - ugh! But the place we want is available at the beginning of July, so we have to take it when we can. It is a month earlier than planned, but regardless I still won't be able to help move stuff. I can help pack, but I won't be able to lift anything whether it's at the beginning of July or the end of July. So it really doesn't matter. It will just be very hectic. Things are going to be so hectic anyway at that time because Will is opening his own business and that will probably all happen around the same time. So, late June - early July is going to be one of the busiest times of our lives! Too bad we didn't keep our wedding date for June 26th - that would have just been one more thing to do!

Well, I'm still not having any problems with this pregnancy. I can only hope that it will stay this way. I've gained about 11 pounds so far, which I think is within reasonable range. I just have to get my butt exercising before I become one big blob of cellulite! I'm already noticing it on my thighs and butt - I guess that's just womanhood for you!

Anyway, more next week.
