The Half Way Point! I don't feel like I've been pregnant for 20 weeks.
Probably because I didn't even find out until I was 8 weeks along. Only
20 more weeks (give or take) to go! June 26th seems like an eternity away,
but I know it will be here before I know it. Then I'll wonder where all
the time went!
Will got to feel the baby move for the first time last night. It seems
like every time I tell him "Get over here - quick!" the little rascal stops
moving! Finally, the baby kept going this time and Will got to feel a
"kick" (although Will said that it felt more like an elbow to him).
This little one is very active, which I love. Will thinks that means it
must be a boy - as if to say that boy's are more active than girls! What a
sexist remark! I know Will really wants a boy, so practically anything I
say or so means that this baby is a boy. He would love a girl just the
same, but would worry more I think. He'll be one of those dads that
torture her dates when they come to pick her up by asking him his life
story. And that's IF he lets her date at all!
Well, everything is going well for us so far. The pregnancy has been a
blessing - no problems to report as of yet. I hope it stays that way.
With my luck, I'll have an absolutely wonderful pregnancy with no
complications - then I'll be hit with an 80 hour labor or something! But,
as long as the baby is OK, I'll go through whatever it takes!
I'm so glad that I've reached the half way point. I'm not sure why this is
such a landmark for me, but I think I feel reassured or something that I've
made it this far.
More next week.
