With my first pregnancy I started out feeling good. By the time I was 13 weeks, I knew something was wrong. I was in pain most of the time and constantly nauseated. The doctor did test to find out that i had gallbladder disease. They didnt want to surgery until the baby was born. By the time I was 20 weeks, they had to choice. I was in and out of the hostpital every week. Finally after a 14 day hostpital stay, I agreed to have my gallbladder removed. I was scared because I was only 22 weeks pregnant and I knew there were risk. The doctors said there was a greater risk if they waited.

I had my gallbladder removed Feb. 24, everything went good. I was feeling better than I had in a long time. In April, all of a sudden I went into premature labor. I was 28 weeks pregnant. I was in the hostpital 3 days and they finally stopped it. I was sent home on turbutiline.

Well in June, I developed pre-eclamsia. I was sent straight to the hospital and had a C-section the next morning.

My son was born June 14, at 34 weeks gestation. He weighed 6lbs, 5oz. He had premature lungs and developed pnuemonia. He had to be flown to the Childeren's Hospital at the medical university. He was on the ventilator 8 days and treated with several medications. He is now doing good and is 3 years old.

My second pregnancy started out as high risk. I was already on medication for hypertension. I was closely followed. My pregnancy went well until my 28th week.

I was getting my son out of the highchair and fell on my stomach. I was in the hospital for 3 days. I had some intra-uterine bleeding but it stopped. I was sent home and again doing well.

My husband left to go over seas with the military when I was 32 weeks preg, he wasn't due to return for 6 months. I was scared to death.

I was in the hospital several times with my blood pressure.

Well at 36 weeks, I developed pre-eclampsia. My husband was flown home. I had a c-section. My son wieghed 4lbs and 15oz.

He had premature lungs, low blood pressure, lung disease, ect.. He was in the NICU for 28 days. He had 3 blood transfusions, a central line inserted in his chest, almost had to have a heart and lung bypass. He is now 9 months old and doing good. I had my tubes tied after this pregnancy. I dont think we could go through this again.
