Baby #1 was as easy as pie!

I felt great throughout the pregnancy and loved every minute of it! My water broke at 36 wks. which sent me to the hospital, where my husband is a doctor. I was started on Pitocin to induce contractions.

By the time I was feeling a little crampy I was dilated to 5 and got my epidural! (Yes, call me a wimp but I never even wanted to try natural birth!) After just 3 or 4 pushes my adorable son was born! (sonogram had said "girl"!)

Pregnancy and childbirth was so easy I thought I was the "birthing queen"! (Ha, ha!)

THEN GOD HUMBLED ME....!!!! Two years later I got pregnant with #2. This pregnancy made me sick, sick, sick! I even had to get I.V. fluids-I threw up all day! When that was finally over I fought anemia that I couldn't seem to resolve even with iron pills.

At 36 wks. my water broke (just like 1st one) and was put on Pitocin (like 1st). However, this time my epidural didn't work past my hips...I felt absolutely everything!! Ahhh!!!

I thought I was going to die it hurt so bad! And even worse he was "face up" and stuck! I pushed for hours before he was born. It was the worst experience, I hated it...the pain ruined everything! For me, having the epidural allowed me to enjoy the experience instead of agonizing through it.

Some people think I'm "pro epidural" because my husband is a doctor. But, he actually prefers women to go natural...but he knows not to even suggest that with me!!!

Anyway, we are trying to get pregnant with #3...hoping it will be easy like the first. By the way, our two sons are both happy and healthy!
