My twins were born 4 weeks early. I had contractions for about a week prior to labor. At about 4 am my contractions got stronger, I started timing them. i woke up my husband and we called my mom to come watch my other kids, ages 4 and 2.

When we got to the hospital I was admitted immediately since I was already 3 cm and fully effaced. My contractions were very strong but still irregular. The doctor thought they would even out before the birth. My husband went home to check on the kids since I was told it would be hours.

The nurse came back to check on me in 30 minutes and I was already 8 cm. We called my husband and he rushed back.At that point I was given a stimulant to even out the contractions, but it was not working. I stayed at 9 cm for 3 hours and was given a uterine relaxant to help correct the irregular contractions. I was at 10 cm and this still hadn't done much and I was ready to push.

The pushing was very intense and lasted over an hour. I could not rest much since the contractions could not be timed. After an hour of pain, pushing and screaming, Stepanie was born at 6 lbs 4 oz.

I was then rushed into a c- section to deliever noelle who was born 20 minutes later. After that I stayed in the hosptial for 3 days. I couldn't sit from the pressure of Stephaines birth and I couldn't walk from the pain of the c-section. This was porbally my worst labor, but it was worth it to get the twins. I don't think I'll be having any more kids though. 4 is enough. :)
