Jeremiah-Nicoli's Birth Story
By Staci-Nicole

Barely a living entity in some's mind, and in others, non-existing just yet. But he knew of his presence forthcoming into the world of the living of God's creations! The noises he could hear, voices becoming fondly remembered with security and assurance.....At the time, not at all realizing the importance in his life, that these voices (our voices), would be matched with our loving faces to whom have anticipated his physical presence into this world that awaited him. Changes becoming more and more perceptible as time passed by, more prevalent on a monthly basis as he grew, progressing into different stages of physical development, becoming more and more apparent.......that, of a little person to be given a name, finalizing his being into his new world. We were assured five months into my pregnancy, that we would be giving birth to a little boy. Although we had already had a son, our first born, we were still just as enlightened as with our first child, with the news of the idea that our God in heaven, has blessed us the opportunity to even bring another new life into the world. "How blessed could we be, a second time around?", I continuously thought as I laid there in my hospital bed shortly after being prepped with an IV and Pitocin(a labor inducing agent) pumping into my veins waiting for it to take affect. "What features will this blessing possess?", I had often wondered with strong hopes during my pregnancy that our son would grace us with his presence in bearing at least a little resemblance to me, as our oldest son bears a striking resemblance to my husband. I think we all hope for a little piece of ourselves in our children. Our son Asa-Brandon was three years old at this time, and we often wondered with curiosity, his reaction to what was to have previously been his domain alone, now to be shared with another equally. Only time would tell as it did with everything.

The Birth and Delivery

It took Sixteen grueling hours of preparation into the perfect position to extract from his three quarters of a years living quarters that was the comfort zone and habitation for my son during this pregnancy. It was reaching the time of discharge, and I was overwhelmed with unbearable pain and was beyond being prepared for the exhausting exigency it would take to bring this little miracle to his arrival. Intensity arose as I could no longer wait and preceded to work hard toward the accomplishment of one of what would be the second (in sequence), yet just as equal achievement in my life. Noticing the crowning of the head, my obstetrician shouted, "look! He's almost out Staci!" And at that very moment, I looked directly at the opening, and to my surprise, at a moments notice, to receive the gift of life, blessed upon two of the most important people this little blessing was to see......his parents, my husband and I. Placed close to my bosom by one of the attending nurses, nothing could compare to the love I felt at that moment for the newest addition to be welcomed into nothing but pure adoration and abiding love. With the birth of both of my boys, I could never have imagined, to love a child, could be so intense and so devoting to want to give so much of yourself to such Godsends........After a bitter sweet visit in my arms, our new little guy was taken to be weighed, cleansed and ready for his soon to be bombarded room with family and friends.

What's In A. Name?

As we awaited his return, we thought joyously of our preceding miracle that would be gracing us with his presence shortly to view his new berth mate. And what a precious moment that would be, to see the two most graceful gifts that our higher spiritual entity could bless upon us. The nurse was on her way back with our new little man all ready for us, as we were for him. We immediately gazed down at him, making sure everything was just right, but of course we could see nothing but perfection in our eyes. Turning our heads almost on cue, we could do nothing but smile at the question my doctor asked of us, "What's his name?" His name was already chosen almost four months prior to his delivery as we were enjoying a movie rental (A Preachers Wife) one evening, and what appeared to us as so spiritual and fitting, was spoken the name, "Jeremiah." Instantly turning to one another, we knew we had found the completion to our little miracles place on this earth by enabling ourselves to be able to call his name after his birth.

A Family Affair

Our oldest son Asa-Brandon had come around the corner from behind the curtains with grandma right up to my bedside, missing me and me missing him. We all looked upon the baby in my arms, so overwhelmed with the sights of Asa- Brandon's curiosity, grandma's delight and mommy and daddy's picture perfect sight of purity and innocence......, and all of our devotion, for the love of
