Birth Story
By Jane

Its now been several years since I had my first son. He weighed 9lb 15 oz, which is quite a large baby, considering I am only 5ft and 50 kg. But anyway, my pregnancy was terrible. I had braxton hicks pains that were so bad that it had me in hospital five times leading up to the actuall birth.

But when I did go into labour, I wasn't aware as I had next to no pain! When we did do the run into hospital, I was 7cm dilated. We were all quite shocked!

Two hours in labour with only mild back pain. The most concerning part of the whole labour was the doctor pulling on my baby's head, as his shoulders were a little stuck, and thus pulling me down the bed also. At one stage, I felt myself floating and watching all from above my bed. I recieved stiches but never once did I swear or curse my husband who was a great support.
