Birth Story I had an ectopic pregnancy 2/97. I wasn't supposed to get pregnant again for 3 months. I was pregnant again on 3/8/97. I was very scared but everything went OK. I decided to go with a Midwife for delivery in a hospital. I went into labor at 11:00a.m. on Monday 11/10/97. We broke the water. I got an epidural and basically laid around all day in complete comfort. At 11:40p.m. that night I started to feel like I had to push. The midwife was with me as soon as I dilated to 8 and stayed the entire time. She was so good and helped me so much that I only pushed for 20 minutes. I never screamed or felt very uncomfortable and I had a beautiful 7lb, 9oz baby girl, Izabella Gabrielle Marie. I would encourage anyone to go to a professional midwife. They are capable of prescribing epidurals, giving episiotomies, prescribing pain killers etc and best of all they are there for the whole thing, they don't walk in in the 11th hour.
