We were thrilled to find out we were expecting after 11 years of trying. Our oldest was 16 years old and I was 33 expecting a new miracle!
The pregnancy was uneventful until the 36th week, when I woke up and thought I was peeing my pants! I soon realized I'd better call the doctor when it would'nt stop. I was told to come in now to be checked. He quickily told me to go to the hospital as the baby was on his way.
I was in no pain so my husband and I went back to the house first to get things in order. When we arrived the nurse was frantic and said she'd been waiting for us for 2 hours. {oopps!} I was taken to the birthing room right away and was exaimened and was 6cm. dialiated......still no pain.
I was hooked up to the fetal monitor and the monitor to watch for contractions. The nurse talked me into going ahead and getting my epidiural, which I thank her now for that!! Three hours later the doctor told me they might have to take him away right after delivery. {for some strange reason I felt like all was well}.
Kyle came flying out and weighed 6lb.14oz., and came out screaming and peeing. They handed him to me and he was so beautiful, dark eyes like me and light brown hair. They checked him....all was well....and the next day we went home.
Kyle is now 4 years old and still beautiful and he will soon be a big brother to 'lil Ellen Marie who is due in Jan.
