Let me begin my story by saying I was 2 weeks over due and begging to be induced. Finally my water broke and I went into labor, after 22 hours of labor i began to push. Three hours of pushing nothing was happening, I was totally dilated yet nothing was happening, labor bars were used all diffrent kinds of coaching, NOTHING. I was BEGGING for a c-section, to this day i still don't know why i wasn't given one. Finally the doctor decided to use a vacuum, after many attempts the vacuum kept unsticking from her head but eventually she was born. Just when we thought we were out of the woods and the doctor was stitching me up (from what the doctors called a stage 3 episiotomy) they discovered i had a hematoma in my abdomen and i was rushed into surgery shortly after. I than recieved a blood transfusion to replace the 4 pints of blood I had lost during delivery. It doesn't end there.

After 6 days in the hospital the baby and I were ready to finally go home when all of the sudden she stops breathing. She gets rushed to the NICU unit where they ran a battery of tests to find out why she stopped breathing, during the testing they discover she has a dislocated hip due to the complications of the delivery and is in a brace which covered both legs and up her back. They finally came to the conclusion the reason she stopped breathing was due to an infection she might have picked up during the delivery.

My story does have a happy ending, I am happy to report both mommy and baby are doing just fine.
