Robert is my third baby. I have two older daughters. He was a complete surpise. As a person who doesn't eat much red meat, the minute I craved a steak, I knew something was up!

My pregnancy was rather uneventful until the eighth month. I was so much larger then the girls. I would have to stand up and feel him shift positions before I could walk comfortably. After I started into my eighth month, I inquired about a c-section to check the size of the baby. My daughters were 9 lbs 4 oz, and 8 lbs 2 oz. My Doctors said I was just anxious to have the baby, and not to worry.

After a very uncomfortable third trimester, my 38th week arrived. I woke up with terrible pain in my pack. I could hardly walk and felt like I was going to vomit. After a call to the Doctor, he told me to meet him at the hospital. He checked me and said that I wasn't in labor and to go home and try and get some rest. This wasn't what I wanted to hear. So I convinced him to do an ultrasound. He sent me to a tech down stairs. Her eyes got bigger and bigger as she worked on the measurements. She just kept mumbling, saying "This can't be right." After getting another tech to come and help her, it was discovered first that my son was breech, and second that his birth weight was averaged to be between 12 and 13 pounds. Keep in mind that I just went into my 38th week. My husband and I were in total shock. Needless to say, the Doctor scheduled a c-section the following day.

On June 11,1998, my son Robert was born weighing in at an incredible 12lbs 4.8 oz. 21 1/2". They were ofcourse worried about diabetes, which neither one of us had.

Today Robert is a fiesty two year old. He wears the same clothes and shoes as his 4 year old sister. He is solid as a rock. And 100% Boy! Look out NFL, in a few years this kid is going to make history! lol
