This is the story of the birth of my beautiful son who was born on December 13,1995. I was 20 yrs old when I had my son. I found out that I was pregnant in March of 1995. We told our parents right away, they were a bit apprehensive but accepted it and grew to like the idea of having a little one around.

My pregnancy went very smoothly except for the "morning sickness" that lasted all day everyday till about 5 months along. No sooner did that go away did I pick up the wonderful fate of having horrid heart burn. During my first 5 months I lost 21 pounds. During the last months I gained every last pound of those 21 back. However after I had my son I was the same weight as I was before I had gotten pregnant with him.

My due date was December 3rd. December 3rd came and went. The only indications of an upcoming labor where that of Braxton Hicks ALL THE TIME. I went in on December 9th for a gel treatment to help thin me out a little. I went back for these on December 10th and December 11th. Because nothing was happening on December 12th they brought me in to induce labor. Which after 8 hours did absolutly nothing. So they told me to go home get some rest and come back in the morning. Of which I did. At the end of the second day they said well lets try for one more day and if nothing happened they would have to do a c-section. Needless to say as most all of you know patience run pretty thin and emotions very high at this point in pregnancy. I sat on the bed and told the doctors and nurses that I was not going to leave this hospitol until I had my child in my arms. So 15 minutes later they were wheeling me down to OR for a c-section. It was pretty obvious that labor was not going to work for me. My son Cody Alan was born at 5:59pm on December 13th 1995, 8lbs 3oz and 20 inches long. His scores where 8-9 at birth.

We came home from the hospitol on Friday December 15th and have thus far enjoyed each other greatly.

Currently we are trying to add another little one to our family. I can't wait to tell another birth story.
