I was three days past my due date and went for my doctor visit. After having a non-stress test, I was examined and the doctor told me that the baby felt like it was now breech. A quick ultrasound confirmed this, and he gave me the option of him trying to turn her the right direction or a c-section. Having heard my mom's horror story on what it felt like to have the baby turned, I opted for the c-section.

Two days later, on June 4,1997, I arrived at the hospital and soon after, Alyssa was born. She weighed 6 lbs 11.1 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. Recovery from the c-section was harder than I expected, I always felt like I was tearing my incision open and couldn't get around very well. I would like to get pregnant again soon, my daughter is now 21 mths old. I haven't decided yet on whether to try a VBAC or not.
