When my doctor told me I was going to be induced I was excited but I didn't know why she wanted to do it. I found out later it was because my son (I knew what I was having) was face up. I went in about a week early and was nervous.

As soon as I got there I was prepped and was told to relax. That was hard to do. I was so excited and nervous. My doctor told me I could have an epideral when I wanted it. I had a lot of visitors and was enjoying it until after a while I hurt so bad I couldn't take it anymore. I told my husband to get the doctor in there. The epideral was wonderful.

I could relax and enjoy my visitors. Then it was time. My husband and mom were in the room with me. I pushed for over an hour. After several tries to turn my son kept turning back. So my doctor said "How about a C-section?" I was so out of it I said "Okay"

My mom had to leave and they took me to the other room. There were several people in there. I was able to stay awake. I was calm but my husband was very nervous. Once they got my son out and I heard him cry I cried. I didn't get to hold him and only could see him for a few seconds before they rushed him to ICU because of his heart rate going down.

They got me sewn up and took me to ICU. All I could do was hold his hand. The next afternoon the nurse brought him in and I finally got to hold him. I cried again. I stayed in the hospital for three days. On the third day I was so ready to go home.

Today Billy Marshall is a healthy 16 lb. and a very happy baby boy.
