I started having contractions in April. My doctor put me on bedrest and I waited and waited to get out of bed! I wasn't put on any meds or anything but was dialated to 1 at 32 weeks. At the time, I thought that meant something, I later found out that it doesn't. Well, she did fine and stayed in. On June 2nd, 1997, I woke up and was feeling some pressure in my stomach. After a while I realized "hey these are contractions", so I called the doctor. He told me to go to the hospital and get checked. I went to the gas station, the bank, mailed my bills, ate at Hardees and proceeded to the hospital. This was at 4pm. I was dialated to 3 two days before this and when I got there I was dialated to 4. My doctor didn't even believe I was going to deliver so he said he would be back at 10pm!! Well at 6pm, the contractions were REALLY getting bad and I really wanted an epidural. So I ask and they said "well first lets give you some Demoral in an iv". I said okay since I thought I was still going to get my epidural, well the demoral did absolutly NOTHING and I was screaming in pain! At 8:30pm I decided I had to push and kept asking HOW MUCH LONGER! No one could tell me, so I was getting really mad. Anyways, she was born at 9:21pm she was 6 pounds 2 1/2 ounces and 18 inches long with soo much dark hair. She is just beautiful. She is 6 weeks old now and such an angel.
