Kaitlyn's birth story
By Sarah

My name is Sarah and my daughter Kaitlyn was born at 30 weeks 4 days due to my water breaking at 20 weeks. I had low fluid or oligohydramnios from the start and at 27 weeks my placenta started to tear away from the uterine wall. I was then placed in the hospital until I had her and exactly 3 weeks later I woke up in pain and realized I was in labor. Nothing was picking up on the monitor but when the checked me the second time, I was dialated so it was off the operating room for us since my daughter was breech because I had no fluid left for her to turn in. She came out breathing on her own and tuckered out fast. She spent a few days on ventilators and came home on oxygen she is not technically supposed to be here yet. She was due December 29th and she got to come home on November 29th. She spent 38 days in the NICU and came home on oxygen. She is currently 7 weeks old and doing great.
