Positive Pregnancy Test but No Pregnancy Symptoms - Will I Miscarry?

Taking a pregnancy test and receiving a positive result can be a very emotional experience. Women generally have a range of emotions from disbelief to shock and excitement to anxiety running through them. Many women who take a pregnancy test may receive a positive result yet have none of the common pregnancy symptoms. If this happens to you dont worry because there is no reason to. Every woman is different and her body reacts to pregnancy in its own way. That may mean you are pregnant and never have a single symptom or you are pregnant and morning sickness is making your life difficult at best. The one thing to keep in mind is that just because you have no pregnancy symptoms is no reason to believe you will miscarry.

Many women miscarry and it is believed somewhere around 25% or more of pregnancies end in miscarriage. This might seem like a lot, but most women never even realize they were pregnant in the first place. In general, a miscarriage occurs because something is wrong with the genetic makeup of the fertilized egg. If there is a problem the body eliminates the pregnancy because the fertilized egg cant survive. Sometimes a miscarriage occurs because the woman cant carry the baby. Regardless, whether or not you have symptoms of pregnancy will not affect you having a miscarriage or not.

Most miscarriages occur before 12 weeks gestation. This is the time period when the cells are diving so quickly that if a mistake occurs the body will more than likely miscarry the baby. Some miscarriages occur after this point, but very few of them do. If you find yourself pregnant and not experiencing pregnancy symptoms then you should count yourself among the lucky ones! Sometimes the most challenging part of early pregnancy can be the symptoms. If you are free of these then you can simply enjoy the changes occurring in your body.

Also, keep in mind that just because you arent experiencing any symptoms early in pregnancy does not mean this wont change. You might all of a sudden find yourself exhausted even after little exertion. Or, perhaps your nipples will become very sensitive and you will have an increase in appetite. Changes are happening in your body every day while you are pregnant so the likelihood you will escape the full pregnancy with no symptoms is unlikely. It is possible, but not likely.
