Easy Halloween Costumes For Toddlers

Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about a Halloween costume. You want your little one to look cute, like his costume, and above all be safe. Of course, you probably don’t want to spend a lot of money on your toddler’s Halloween costume, either. In this case you will want to consider making your toddlers’ Halloween costume. It is more original, cheaper, and you will be proud of your handiwork. The following ideas are some easy Halloween costume ideas for toddlers.

Princess

If your little girl wants to be a princess this Halloween then all you need is a pretty dress and a crown! More than likely your daughter already has a dress she can use. If not, the thrift store probably does. Check out the dresses and let her pick the princess dress she wants. Then, buy a tiara and she will be ready. You could curl her hair, add a little makeup, and really play the part. Or, you could let her go in just the dress and tiara. Either way, it saves money and looks cute.

Cat

A cat is easy for a little boy or a little girl. Simply buy an all black outfit, or use black pants and a black shirt you already have. Then, paint whiskers and a nose with eyeliner on your toddler’s face. Make sure it is safe to apply to their face. Make a tail out of black pantyhose and pin to the back of their pants. You will have a cute cat at an affordable price.

Dog

A dog is pretty easy to make. All you need is to buy a headband and sew some ears on. You can buy fabric to make ears with or get creative with newspaper or other craft supplies. Allow your child to dress in clothes that match the type of dog they are imitating and paint whiskers on their face. That’s pretty easy and fast!

Clown

Clowns can look like anything at all as long as they are colorful. Consider buying your child a face paint kit and a red nose and then just have fun making them into a clown. Let them mismatch their clothes or wear something of yours. You could also take fabric and make a clown outfit if you are good at sewing.

Just get creative and come up with the costume that your toddler will love the best. It doesn’t have to be expensive or exotic and another toddler’s costume from the previous year is always a good idea, too!
