Generally, everything you need can be tossed right into the crock pot and then you turn it on. Many of the foods that are cooked in crackpots are affordable to begin with . Soups, stews, chili, casseroles, and the like are all pretty affordable. Not to mention, you can cook enough for the entire family to enjoy several times.

The great thing about Crockpot recipes is that they rarely call for many ingredients and most of the time the ingredients are readily available and affordable. All types of meat work well in crock pots as do various sauces and soups. Foods like macaroni and cheese with mini hot dogs are cheap to make and good to eat. You can even toss in some broccoli florets or peas to make a complete meal in one place. Chili is a crock pot favorite and it has enough vegetables and beans to provide plenty of nutrients and fiber. Pair it with some cornbread or tortilla chips for a tasty and fast meal.

If you don’t have a crock pot you should definitely buy one. They are available in all shapes and sizes. You can get up in the morning, fill up the crock pot with all the ingredients, and leave it on low all day while you are at work. When you return home dinner will be made and piping hot and all that’s left to do is serve the plates!
