When you buy a car seat you just might be buying it for several years of use. Some car seats are built to last longer than others and depending on your childs age and weight he may be able to use it for some time. However, car seats sometimes need replacement parts just like anything else. For example, the cover could get ripped or chewed by a family pet, it could become stained from spills or accidents, or it might simply look ragged after repeated washings. The same goes for the belts. They could get chewed up, cut, tied in knots, or anything else. You dont know what has happened to the used parts and if they are in good shape or not. So, make sure you always buy new replacement parts for your childs car seat. Sometimes you can find these on auction sites for a really good price.
Local Store
If you head to the store where you purchased your car seat you just might be able to find the replacement part you are looking for. This really depends on exactly what you need, but some of the larger superstores that cater to baby goods have a wide range of replacement parts for car seats available.
Remember, buying replacement parts is no big deal and it is much cheaper than buying a brand new car seat. So, if something happens and you need a replacement part dont worry. With just a little research you can find where to buy the replacement part, have it installed, and be back to normal. At least for a little while, anyway!
