Breast Changes During The Second Trimester

As soon as you become pregnant your breasts begin to change and they continue to change throughout the second trimester. There are all kinds of changes that you may never have anticipated, but the following changes are common among second trimester pregnant women.

– Tenderness
– Super sensitive
– Blue veins in breast tissue
– Enlargement
– Growth
– Leaking colostrum
– Larger nipples and areolas
– Nipples stick out more
– Raised bumps appear on the areola
– Darkening of the nipple and areola

Not all women experience all of these symptoms but most women will experience at least one if not more of the symptoms on this list. Some of the changes are not so bad and other changes are things pregnant women simply must deal with.

For example, women with small breast may enjoy the breast enlargement and women with large breast will probably not be so thrilled. The best advice for this situation is to buy several great supportive bras. Nursing bras are good ideas if you must invest in new, larger bras as they can be used afterwards as well.

The tenderness many women feel in their breast is intense. This may make your sex life a little more spicy or else it might be too much sensation. Your breasts will eventually go back to normal, but they will be really sensitive while the extra hormones are in your body.

Some women will leak colostrum during the second trimester when they are aroused or for no reason at all. Other women will not leak the colostrums. Regardless of whether you do or dont you will still have milk to feed your baby.

The other breast changes during the second trimester are just part of pregnancy and things you will need to deal with. Although your body goes through so many changes during pregnancy eventually it will get back to normal so dont worry too much and just try to enjoy this phase of your pregnancy.
